Kayleigh and Chris's Wedding

Kayleigh and Chris were married at the beautiful St. Margarets Church in Swindon on Saturday. It was hard to believe it was still March, as the sun shone all day, and this put everyone in a happy mood to enjoy a memorable wedding day. We met up with Kay and her bridesmaids at the hotel for some bridal preparation pictures, and they were all so exited -as you'd expect. Photo's done, we shot off to meet Chris and his groomsmen at the church. Kayleigh arrived in a lovely old Lagonda, and she looked stunning ! I bet the designer of Lagonda cars never thought that beautiful brides in gorgeous wedding dresses would be driven to their weddings in this classic racing sports car. Not too much room inside, and tiny doors ! Very relaxed vicar allowed us to shoot some great images during the ceremony. Outside, we completed most of our pictures in the sunshine before Chris and Kayleigh headed off to the reception in the Lagonda with the top down. The reception was in the Four Pillars Hotel in the Cotswold Water Park. A great venue, where we shot our remaining group pictures next to the lake. After the speeches, the children (and some grown ups) discovered the Chocolate fountain, which made for some fun pix. All the pictures are now online at  www.christopherchard.com

Richard and Susies Wedding

Richard and Susie were married at the beautiful Stanton Manor Hotel, in Wiltshire. We were blessed with a fantastic spring day, and we began with some lovely pictures of Susie and then with her twin sister. Both looked amazing but Susie stole the show, and looked stunning in her wedding dress. Richard next, with his son who was best man. The ceremony was especially moving, and the really helpful registrar allowed me to shoot some pictures during the wedding. In the garden we ran through a list of groups, and then allowed some time to shoot some more relaxed images of just Richard and Susie in the beautiful gardens at Stanton. Nice friendly guests, Picturesque Stanton Manor, spring sunshine. What a lovely, relaxed wedding.

Sarah and Jack's Wedding

Sarah and Jack were married at the imposing Christ's Church in Warminster. What a bitterly cold day ! I'm fairly sure Jack wasn't really looking forward to being photographed as the groom. but he coped pretty well as the day went on. Shot's with the boys done, we waited for Sarah to arrive. She looked fantastic, and her wedding dress was stunning. We couldn't get too close in church, but did the best we could. After the ceremony, we were anxious not to take any longer than we had to with our group pictures. All shot, and time for confetti. Always provides some fun pictures !   Then off to the George Inn at Longbridge Deverill for the reception. With the light almost gone, there was just enough time to shoot the last few portraits of Sarah and Jack in the garden. Despite the cold, it was a fantastic wedding. Lorna anmd Thomas's wedding

Lorna and Thomas were married at the picturesque St Peters Church in Freshford near Bath. We met up with Thomas and his groomsmen at the church and shot some quite relaxed outside. When Lorna arrived with her dad, she looked stunning, and dad looked so proud. After the ceremony, and with not to much room, we shot a few smaller family pictures, before we headed off to Wick Farm Barn at Farleigh Hungerford near Bath. When all the guests arrived we shot all the family pictures before attempting a final picture of everyone on the deck. Some great speeches, before the wedding breakfast was served. What a lovely wedding day. All the pictures are available to view at www.christopherchard.com

Rose and Nelson's Wedding

Rose and Nelson were married at St Mary the Virgin Church in Grittleton. Rose had eight bridesmaids, yes eight !  and Nelson topped that with eleven ushers ! So that made some interesting pictures. Nelson had most of his family fly over from Portugal for the wedding, so we were able to shoot some great images both at the church and then outside the delightful Victorian Grittleton House. The wedding was quite late in the day, and the light was disappearing fast so we quickly finished our family groups and all the guests gathered in the great hall for a picture of everyone. We talked Rose and Nelson into some more pictures on the beautiful staircase. Rose looked stunning, and what a beautiful dress. Speeches next and one or two Portuguese traditions, before the wedding breakfast began. A lovely wedding day. All the pictures are available to view at www.christopherchard.com

Lise & Jon's Wedding

I hope you will all understand, when I say this was the "Wedding of the Year" ! My daughter Lise married Jon at the Central Methodist Church in Chippenham. Of course the big decision was - could I be official wedding photographer and father of the bride ? Could I trust another photographer with capturing those most important, and never to be repeated images of my beautiful daughter on her wedding day ?  Not a chance !  So I rushed from Hairdressing salon to the house where the boys were getting ready and back to the girls. Then back to the house where Lise and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Pictures done, I had five minutes to get my suit on, before we set off for the church. I had to pass the camera over to my son Simon to record our arrival at the church. He has a safe pair of hands, and did a stirling job, and added greatly to recording this amazing day. I think it caused some amusement when, after I'd done my job of giving daughter away, I whipped the camera out to shoot some available light shots of the wedding ceremony. Many thanks to minister Dale for being so relaxed about that. Ok, off to the awesome Grittleton House where the sun shone and everyone enjoyed the beautiful gardens while we shot our group pictures. Ann and I know this lovely venue so well, and we were able to shoot some wonderful images in the grounds and inside on the staircase. After the wedding breakfast and the speeches, the evening party  got started. Great picture opportunities ! When the last guest finally left, we all agreed it had been such an amazing day. I was sure I captured some fantastic pictures. Did I pull it off ? Father of the Bride, and photographer ?  Still not sure ! but I did my best.
